Support me and the MOMS Club of Augusta as we walk to end Alzheimer's!

Alzheimer's is a cruel disease that unfortunately has touched so many lives. My grandmother is one of those who has been affected by this disease along with her younger sister who passed away in 2006 and their mother many years earlier.

Ann Lehtonen is a very strong woman, but it wouldn't be so easy to tell these days. She came to this country when she was 16 years old from Sweden and didn't speak any English. She worked hard to create a life for herself here by waiting tables and going to school at night to learn this new language. She is truly an amazing woman and it is so sad to watch her fade away with Alzheimer's.

She now resides with my parents and needs help with things from putting ice in her glass to the harder moments such as bathing and using the restroom.

Alzheimer's slowly widdles away everything that you worked hard to become and create.

We know that Alzheimer's affects the memory, but it's a whole different world when you watch those that you love forget your name or have a bad day due to the misplaced coffee mug.

Currently more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's, and 78 million baby boomers are at risk – unless we find a way to change the course of the disease.

In order to do our part, the MOMS Club of Augusta is working to grow our team and raise money, but we need to ask for your support! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into prevention, treatments and a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.

On behalf of the millions of Americans who are living with this disease, thank you for supporting our efforts. We're on the MOVE to end Alzheimer’s!
